addicted

i am. it is what it is.

i LOVE chips.

there is just something about that salty crunchy combo of deliciousness that i just cant get enough of. its really pathetic.
(not to mention pretty unhealthy)

the other day, at the fabulous Target
i discovered these....
Archer Farms Simply Balanced Chips
(they're similar to baked lays)
but the best part:
balsamic vinegar and herb flavor!!!

oh.my.goodness.
these are soooo delicious!

confession: i ate the whole bag in less than 24 hours.
ick,
i need to find a "chips addicts anonymous" meeting ASAP
happy friday (and happy weekend) y'all

all the cool kids are doing it...

yes, saving money! that's right. the $$bills y'all!

so, backstory: our sunday school class (FBC Frisco) is doing a study on the Dave Ramsey principals to saving money and building wealth. its super fun, and super social and we are loving hanging out with our friends while all being on the same "budgeting" page together!-do i hate the word "budget" yes... but is the whole process worth while, YES! its been amazing for us to have such great friends who are all working towards long time goals, PLUS our super fab teacher is a financial planner, so we get great advice for free! yay CC!!

i thought it might be insightful to share the 7 baby steps that Dave Ramsey recommends, I'm sure many of you have heard this already, but a refresher never hurts.... right?!?

1. Set up an emergency fund of $1,000
2. Pay off all debt using the snowball effect
3. Save 3-6 months expenses
4. Invest 15% of household income
5. College Fund for children
6. Pay off home early
7. Build wealth and give

I dont normally blog about any type of deep topic, and i certainly dont want to push my convictions on anyone else, but if you're intrigued... its there. if not.... its cool too! I'm just saying that its something we are enjoying and we are getting something out of. its been a great part of our week and we have so enjoyed hearing other couples money saving tips, which i plan to share in a later post...

anyhoo! hope you all are having fabulous weeks,
happy wednesday!!!

so, way back when... i was once 16 and had my first love. i promise this isn't going where you think...

what does every 16-year-old love? that's right, driving!!!!
my first car was a '96 Jeep Cherokee, so cute! she looked a bit like this
i had a zebra print steering wheel cover (yikes, those were cool?)
what a fun first car!

then,
there was the avalon,
the bug,
and currently- the infiniti

but, i think maybe my heart is still with my first love
cause i'm so so so crushing on these
the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokees are sooo good lookin'!!!

i think they're way fun and still chic, but not too big!

i'll probably never have one because, this yahoo (below) loves to sit as close to his mom and dad as possible and the space arrangement just wouldn't work for us, but a girl can dream right....

Thank you Jeep for being easy on the eyes,
even though i super love my Buzz Lightyear (infiniti- get it?)
*sigh* Happy Monday & Happy Driving :)

bookworm

so, i read every single night before bed, so i go through lots of books.
(which i personally think is a great problem)

i just finished, Little Bitty Lies by Mary Kay Andrews (my fav author) and it was lovely, as all her books are!
i will admit though, i liked this one less than Hissy Fit and The Fixer Upper
but, it was still an enjoyable read.

what its about: a woman, Mary Bliss, who's husband left her and her daughter--and left them broke as well. the story is about how Mary Bliss keeps her head above water, deals with a teenage daughter, has a fussy mother in law, meets a man or two, and manages to make the best of the situation, while facing quite a few random obstacles! its witty and funny, which most of MKA's writing is-- but it dragged a bit more than other books of hers i've read. she's still my fav though!!!

happy wednesday!

heres the thing

so, i kept thinking i would find my camera charger so i could upload pics and get back to blogging...

yet to happen.

and, since i dont believe in posting w/o a picture (or 5) i've just taken a little break from the bloggy world, which was nice and gave me an opportunity to pretty much become a Pinterest VIP (or i think i am, and my husband claims they should give me an award for how many hours i spend pinning)

so, until i find my battery to charge my camera - so i can actually, you know... turn it on, i'll be using my dear love pinterest for her pics...

(anyone else thinking i should find a backup charger? last time i lost it, i found it in a suitcase about 6 months after a vacation-- which really only means, i should vacation more... right?)

until then, i have a little rant

DEAR HOBBY LOBBY,
I'D LIKE TO INFORM YOU THAT IS JULY, AND YOU'VE ALREADY PUT OUT YOUR CHRISTMAS DECOR, WHICH IS KINDA PUTTING A DAMPER ON MY SUMMER TAN. DO YOU REALLY THINK THIS IS NECESSARY? NO ONE PLANS THAT FAR AHEAD, JUST LET US ENJOY THE POOL, thanks... me :)

sigh, okay i'm over it.
in the spirit of Christmas and decorating,
here are some of my favorite Christmas pics from pinterest:
1. apple cider in apples.... genius
(and a lot of work hollowing out apples)

2. the ultimate Christmas cake

3. this is beautiful

4. first, i LOVE this song
and second, how cute is this?!?

and 5. the man tree
thought this was pretty impressive for a man,
the gifts are even wrapped.
high-five!

happy monday,
apologies for my absence,
i'll do better :)
